| description | Consideramos el problema de la búsqueda de equivalencia léxica entre una unidad terminológica en lengua origen y su traducción en el texto meta. Para delimitar la existencia y peso específico de los diversos factores que puedan tener importancia en este proceso, hemos sometido a análisis estadístico un conjunto de 1.167 fichas de correspondencia léxica elaboradas con vistas a la traducción de dos textos ingleses de asunto comunitario. El estudio ha permitido identificar varios descriptores, cuya medición nos lleva a proponer un procedimiento técnico en cuatro grandes pasos: a) cotextualización; b) búsqueda en tres clases de fuentes, por orden de relevancia; c) análisis de significado, y d) verificación de registro.<br><p><em>We address the problem of arriving at a satisfactory lexical equivalence between a term or expression in the source text and a translation into a target text. In order to identify the existence and relative importance of the several factors which may concur, we have analyzed by statistical means a corpus of 1.167 records of lexical searches. A number of useful elements have been thus identified, leading to the proposal of a practical procedure for lexical decision making. We have arrived at a technical protocol consisting of four main steps: (a) cotextualization; (b) search in three different kinds of sources, by order of relevance; (c) semantic analysis; and (d) verification of use.</em></p> |
