description Introduction: Working errors are inevitable in every profession including health care professions, ‎but in nursing, it s of greater importance. ‎ Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine barriers to reporting nursing job errors from ‎nurses viewpoint.‎ Methods: In this descriptive study, ‎‏92‏‎ nurses who working in Fatemeh Zahra hospital of Najaf ‎Abad in ‎‏2008‏‎ were selected. Data were collected by self-designed questionnaire. SPSS soft ware ‎and descriptive statistics were used for analyzing the data.‎ Results: Data showed that from nurses' point of view in the domain of nurse –related," Legal ‎problems" had the highest score (‎‏4.64‏‎) and in the domain of management "inappropriate nurse ‎manager reaction "had the highest score (‎‏4.27‏‎) .Also ‎‏95.6%‏‎ of them reported that reporting of job ‎errors is essential.‎ Conclusion: Regarding impossibility of suppression of nursing errors, struggle for controlling ‎nursing errors depends on using a systematic approach with emphasis on management and nursing ‎care.‎
