Description
Summary:Abstract This study attempts to provide a research landscape on the relationship between green finance (GF) and sustainable development (SD) using the Scopus database. A bibliometric analysis of a total of 1547 articles published during 2010–2024 is conducted to examine the relationship between the given variables. The study found that China is the leading contributor to research on green finance and sustainable development, followed by India and the United Kingdom. Green finance, sustainable development, renewable energy and climate finance are the key research themes, which are determined through analyses of keyword frequency and centrality. On the other hand, clean development mechanisms, financial instruments, technological advancement and the energy sector were identified as research hotspots. This study is mainly helpful for policymakers, researchers and their funding agencies, as it assists them in setting research, funding and policy priorities related to green finance and sustainable development.
