| Summary: | International commercial terms rules is a kind of transaction rules spontaneously produced in order to improve transaction efficiency and avoid transaction risks among the practice of international trade, which is used to guide international commercial trade and different among different areas. In 1936, in order to unify the order of international commercial trade transactions, the International Chamber of Commerce formulated the standard International commercial terms rules, which have been revised nine times so far, including two revisions since the 21st century, that is, Incoterms® 2010 and Incoterms® 2020. In this paper, the author reviews the development process of Incoterms, compares the development and changes of different versions of Incoterms, and conduct a focused research on the main characteristics and changes of Incoterms® 2010 and Incoterms® 2020 as well as the application strategies of Incoterms 2020, so as to explore the new characteristics of international trade practices since the 21st century. This paper summarizes the core principles of Incoterms and studies the development trend of Incoterms, so as to help the development of international trade. |
