| Summary: | Objective To systematically evaluate the methodological quality of clinical practice guideline, expert consensus and standard for allergic rhinitis in China.Methods Databases, including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, and websites of Yimaitong, Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of Chinese Medical Association, China Association of Chinese Medicine, and Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine were searched for clinical practice guidelines, expert consensus and standard for allergic rhinitis from inception to October 2023. Two researchers independently screeneds the literature and extracted relevant information according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The AGREE II tool was used to assess the methodological quality of the included studies by four researchers and the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to assess the consistency of results.Results A total of 14 articles were included, including 4 clinical practice guidelines, 9 expert consensus, and 1 standard. The ICC between researchers was 0.967. The average standardized scores for the scope and purpose, stakeholder involvement, rigour of development, clarity of presentation, applicability, editorial independence were 73.29%, 42.43%, 29.40%, 69.19%, 44.76%, and 4.76%, respectively. There were 0, 12, and 2 literatures with recommended level of A, B, and C, respectively.Conclusion The methodology qualities of clinical practice guidelines, expert consensus and standards for allergic rhinitis in China need to be improved in terms of applicability, editorial independence, and rigor of development, in order to promote the clinical diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis patients. |
