Summary: | Conceived and developed by Pierre Faure, a French Jesuit father who was close to new education movements, personalized and community-based pedagogy became widespread in Brazilian education in the 1950s and 1960s. Based on an analysis of Pierre Faure’s works, his courses and conferences, and the travels of French and Brazilian educators, this article traces how this pedagogy circulated between France and Brazil. It brings to light the social and pedagogical networks that have contributed to the dissemination and promotion of personalized and community-based pedagogy in Brazil. |
