This study aims to analyze the script Air Mata Senja by Joni Hendri with the study of sociology of literature. The study of sociology of literature is carried out because literary works are social reflections manifested by an author into a work. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Because the data obtained from the research of this literary work is in the form of descriptions or sentences. The results obtained from this study is a social criticism of people who often pollute the river so that the river loses its function for humans. And, the moral message found is to keep nature as well as possible so that humans can live in synergy with nature.

Abstrak
penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis naskah drama air mata Senja karya Joni Hendri dengan kajian sosiologi sastra. Penelitian sosiologi sastra dilakukan karena karya sastra merupakan refleksi sosial yang dimanifestasikan oleh seorang pengarang ke dalam sebuah karya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Karena data-data yang diperoleh dari penelitian karya sastra ini adalah berupa deskripsi atau kalimat-kalimat. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah kritik sosial terhadap orang-orang yang sering mencemari sungai sehingga sungai kehilangan fungsinya bagi manusia. Dan, pesan moral yang ditemukan adalah untuk menjaga alam sebaik mungkin agar manusia dapt hidup bersinergi dengan alam.
