| description | The trend of the time is the renovation of historical objects and the introduction of a new spirit and new functionality into the "old walls". One of the forms of "rearrangement" of abandoned objects is the creation of creative spaces or art clusters in them. This process corresponds to the growth of the creative class in large metropolitan areas and the importance of this social group for the development of the urban economy. For the successful functioning of the art space, a serious financial base is needed. This is the support of authorities at various levels or socially-oriented businesses. On the example of the cultural and exhibition complex "Sinara Center" with an area of 6 thousand square meters. The author shows what makes it possible to introduce a financially stable, high-tech art cluster into the urban space: a focus on multifunctionality (the Sinara Art art gallery with more than 1,500 thousand objects, a concert and banquet hall for 400 people, a restaurant and a wine a bar, an enclosed courtyard, etc.), relevant residents (the center for creative initiatives "Striped Cat", a framing workshop, etc.), active event design, a focus on hospitality, attracting tourists, etc. Based on analytics and the results of an intelligence survey, the author highlights the problems of the functioning of art clusters in a modern metropolis: the lack of a “cultural” audience, the ambivalent impact of competition in Yekaterinburg, the definitely negative impact of the epidemiological situation caused by COVID-19, the need to quickly and effectively “reach profitability”. The significance of the project implemented by a socially oriented business to revitalize the OKN is described - the restoration of the ruined hospital of the Verkh-Isetsky plant of 1824, its inclusion in an active economic and cultural circulation, the creation of new jobs for the creative urban class, work on local identity by demonstrating a collection of works art of Ural authors, etc. |
