description | The verification of the ecological flow is an important step in the ecological flow verification and guarantees trial work for the built water conservancy and hydropower projects, and the basis of ecological flow management. This paper takes Zhangshui Youluokou Reservoir of Ganjiang River Basin as an example, focuses on the problem that there are multiple ecological flow approval results and the target value is uncertain, and uses multiple hydrological methods to verify the ecological flow from the perspectives of hydrological rhythm, guarantee degree, the coordination between upper reaches and lower reaches, etc. It is concluded that if the effect of seasonal changes on aquatic organisms is considered, the Tennant method demonstrates the best comprehensive performance. The reference value for the spawning period is 6.99–11.0 m<sup>3</sup>/s, and that for the general water use period is 0.52–1.78 m<sup>3</sup>/s. If the needs for simplified management of small watersheds are considered, it is recommended to adopt the existing result of 1.52 m<sup>3</sup>/s from the <italic>Zhangjiang River Basin Comprehensive Planning Revision Report</italic>. The research results can provide a reference for the determination of the ecological flow of Youluokou Reservoir and provide some methods for the verification of the ecological flow of other built water conservancy and hydropower projects. |
