Summary:History curricula of common schools aft er reform from 1932 in the press of „Wiadomości Historyczno-Dydaktyczne” (1933-1939)In 1918, at the time of Poland’s independence, government faced great challenge to reconstruct country damaged during the war. Th e education development must have been ensured. Th e new history curriculum for history in upper-secondary schools had been introduced in 1934. Th e article focuses on analysis of texts cocncernig teaching of history in middle school from journal „Wiadomości Historyczno-Dydaktyczne”. At the beginning, requirements and conditions were formulated in regards to newly created curriculum.Th e nextpart concentrates on journal texts and includes teachers, historians and open letters of Polish Historical Society (Polskie Towarzystwa Historyczne) and demands of Powszechny Zjazd Historyków Polskich. Th is part presents metodology, didactic measures and realisation of new curriculum and its content. Th e fi nal conclusion of the article underlines that many aspects of history teaching are valid these days. Keywords: curriculum, history, junior high school, interwar period.
