It is impossible to say whether those who brought objects to a place were the same as those who lived there. Moreover, although chronicles and oral traditions can help, they may also present some traps due to manipulative practices used by the authors to their advantage. Nonetheless, a gleam of association and articulation sometimes shows through. We then have the impression of detecting correspondences between commercial, cultural and matrimonial movements. |
