Description
Summary:Dens in dente (dens invaginatus) is a developmental anomaly resulting from invagination of the enamel organ and dental papilla before the mineralization phase. An invaginated tooth often presents atypical morphological features, predisposing it to dental caries and pulpal pathosis. Early diagnosis is, therefore, essential as prophylactic treatment can prevent degeneration and pulpal necrosis. This article uses a revascularization technique to present the conservative management of a case of dens invaginatus of the maxillary lateral incisor in a 45-year-old patient. Prompt clinical and radiographic examination was followed by endodontic treatment and prosthetic restoration of the tooth.
