Description
Summary:River ecological flow is a key index for ensuring the ecological functions of rivers, and it is also an important basis for river ecological health assessment and ecological restoration.Ecological flow monitoring is not only a prerequisite for ecohydrological response and optimal allocation of water resources but also an important means of ensuring the process of ecological flow.Due to differences in river characteristics, the ecological flow monitoring method used directly affects the monitoring result. This paper compares domestic and foreign methods of river ecological flow monitoring from the perspectives of monitoring effect, monitoring scope, monitoring accuracy, and real-time performance and summarizes the drawbacks and prospects of current research on river ecological flow monitoring.Feasibility suggestions are also presented to provide scientific guidance for future study and application of river ecological flow monitoring systems.
