| Summary: | In this article, an analysis is presented of the essay titled "France Has Not Said Its Last
Word", published in 2021 by Éric Zemmour, known both as a polemicist and now as a politician. This
study aims to examine the argumentative strategies used by the author as well as the representations
that manifest in his discourse. Through linguistic and sociolinguistic approaches, we explore the
potential impact of certain linguistic formulations on a specific audience. The central question
addressed in this work concerns the use of representations from an argumentative perspective, taking
into account the embedding of discourse in a particular socio-political context.
