Description
Summary:Photocatalysis technology, with the advantages of strong catalytic effect, fast reaction rate, less secondary pollution and low cost, has received a lot of attention from researchers in the area of water pollution control. Cobalt-based oxide is an ideal photocatalyst material because of its low price, abundant reserves and corrosion resistance. In this paper, the preparation methods, morphological structures and catalytic properties of single cobalt-based metal oxides and cobalt-based bimetallic oxides were reviewed, and their photocatalytic degradation mechanisms for organic pollutants were summarized. Aiming at the problems of high photogenerated carrier compounding rate, low utilization rate and poor stability of cobalt-based oxides, a method of modifying cobalt-based oxides to construct multivariate heterojunction composite catalysts was described, which not only promoted the separation and transfer of photogenerated carriers and inhibited the compounding of electron/hole pairs in the photocatalytic reaction, but also effectively controlled the cobalt ions leaching, and the catalytic activity and stability were improved. On this basis, the future research of cobalt-based oxide photocatalysts was proposed.
