Summary:In order to improve the converter adaptability of grid, and address the island-through technical problem of grid-connected doubly-fed wind turbine when the three-phase instantaneous break and auto-reclosing faults happened to the grid, it presented an islandthrough technical solution based on virtual synchronization. Firstly, the operation mechanism of isolated island was analyzed and its mathematical model was established, meanwhile the characteristics of frequency and voltage of power grid and stability of the doublyfed wind turbine in the isolated island operation mode were discussed. As a consequence, Matlab simulation model of converter-generator for 2.0 MW double-fed wind turbine was built, in which all kinds of operations for the double-fed wind turbine were fulfilled. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the scheme was verified by virtue of a 2.0 MW back-back test bench. The method can be applied to not only single wind power unit, but also whole wind power plant.
