description Assessment of networked video quality is the key to ensure the quality of service for networked video applications.From the viewpoint of the employed video information and the level of access to the bit-stream,objective quality-assessment models can be categorized into the parametric-planning model,parametric packet-layer model,parametric bit-stream-layer model,media-layer model,and hybrid model.The classification and application of networked video quality assessment was first introduced.Then the characteristics,key techniques,state-of-the-art,and standardization process of each model were described based on the key factors which impact the networked video quality.
