description In this issue, we propose an interview with ergonomist Yvon Quéinnec. He began his career in the 1960s, in the field of insect physiology, studying the influence of internal state (especially circadian rhythms) on sensory system functions. He gradually turned his attention to humans, and came to the field of ergonomics, with a special interest in shift work and night work, including work team activities and relationships. The PISTES team met him in October 2001, just before he retired, and he was kind enough to share some of his thoughts with us.
