The most serious conditions in which allergic background plays or can play an important role are: oral anaphylaxis syndrome, aphthous stomatitis, reflux disease, acute and chronic allergic reactions of gastric mucosa, irritable bowel syndrome, and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. |
