| description | Pulmonary sinus aneurysm (PSA) is an abnormal dilatation of the sinus of the pulmonary valve. This condition is exceedingly rare. A few reports of pulmonary artery aneurysms and just 2 reports of pulmonary sinus aneurysms have been reported in the literature. Various factors contribute to pulmonary artery aneurysms, including pulmonary valve stenosis, pulmonary hypertension, and other diseases that induce arterial wall debilitation, such as connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, rheumatologic maladies, and infections. It can present with some symptoms linked with other congenital anomalies or remain asymptomatic. Recently, we encountered a case of asymptomatic pulmonary sinus aneurysm in neonatal. Echocardiography showed that the aneurysm of the anterior and right cusps of the pulmonary valve mimicked tumors at the pulmonary root. |
