description Introduction. The article examines the theoretical aspects of the relationship between the concepts of civilization, ideology, and worldview. The ideological aspects of the civilizational analysis of society are shown. Theoretical analysis. The article argues for the methodological and theoretical possibility of creating a new concept of civilizational development and proposes the option of mutual complementarity of the stadial and cyclic models of the civilizational process. This seems to be the best option for understanding the nature and prospects of Russian civilization at the ideological level. It is emphasized that, with all the importance of traditions and the experience of history, the concept of civilization should be focused on the study of the problem field of modern society, its future and development prospects. The possibility of using the concept of “another Europe” to characterize the specifics of Russian civilization is considered. In the context of the proposed theoretical position, some features of Russian civilizational development are examined. Conclusion. The prospect of elaborating a new concept of civilizational development in Russia has been identified, integrating the potential of new “hybrid” ideological constructs that will correspond to it and express the social interests of the majority of society.
