Description
Summary:Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are crucial drivers for the socio-economic growth and prosperity of the country. However, the sustainability of SMEs is significantly impacted by abrupt climatic changes and an increasingly competitive environment. The study aims to investigate the relationships of green innovation (GI) and big data analytics capability (BDAC) with SMEs sustainable performance, particularly focusing on the mediating role of strategic change (SC). Using data collected through electronic self-administered questionnaires from 211 managers of manufacturing SMEs in Pakistan, the study performed statistical analyses employing partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrated that GI and BDAC significantly established positive relationships with the sustainable performance of SMEs. Furthermore, SC positively mediated these relationships. The findings provide useful strategic insights and guidelines to the policymakers, trade bodies and industry stakeholders helping them to foster innovation and sustainability. Additionally, the study outlines theoretical and practical significance besides limitations and future research directions.
