description This study was conducted to draw the profile of veterinary medicine in the light of socio-cullural variations and m parallel of occupational sociological assumptions, and to determine the susceptibility of veterinarians to class consciousness and job satisfaction, A questionnaire survey was applied on 94 veterinarians working in vanous sectors in 22 provinces, most of which were located in the East and Southeast of the country. According to the resuIIs of Ihe survey, veterinarians, in general, felt that Ihey belonged to lower or middle classes in the society and they were unsatisfactory in job-life.
