Description
Summary:The Victim’s Right to Information Summary The article describes the Polish legal provisions to ensure the victim of a crime of the proper conditions to exercise his right to information. The Polish provisions are examined in the light of the requirements laid down in Directive 2012/29/UE of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012, which establishes minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime. In her conclusion the author observes that Polish law is becoming more and more compatible with EU law, but there are still some issues which require remodelling. This applies above all to the full accessibility of information in the sense of clarity and user-friendliness.
