description Aim: To evaluate the quality of life (QoL) of patients who suffer from long-term oral mucosal disorders. Methods: A total of 200 individuals with chronic oral mucosal diseases (COMDs) were included. The QoL results were assessed using the Chronic Oral Mucosal Diseases Questionnaire (COMDQ). Of the 200 patients who were enrolled, 125 (61.5%) were men and 77 (38.1%) were women. Oral ulcers accounted for 77 (38.1%) of all COMDs, whereas radiation or chemotherapy ulcers accounted for just 6 (3.0%). The COMDQ had a mean score of 19.9 overall. The domain score of pain and function had the highest mean score of 13.2, and the total evaluation score was satisfactory with a range of 49%. The QoL was more negatively impacted by mouth opening reduction and oral ulcers than by the other COMD categories. Conclusion: A longitudinal study design may be used in future research to look at how drugs affect COMD patients’ QoL over time.
