Description
Summary:The aim of this study was to know the relationship between Internet addiction and psychosocial compatibility among students of physical education. The Internet Addiction Scale and psychosocial compatibility Scale were employed to assess the levels of variables and the relationship between them. The sample comprised 60 students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport University of Ouargla, in Algeria. The results showed that there was an average level of Internet addiction (Mean=3.11; Standard deviation = 0.54) among physical education students and a high level of psychosocial compatibility Mean=2.65; Standard deviation = 0.18), and there was a negative correlation between Internet addiction and psychosocial compatibility. The inverse relationship between Internet addiction and psychosocial compatibility explains that excessive use of the Internet in a misplaced way exposes the individual to many psychological and social disorders.
