The first three types were divided into more detailed categories, which resulted in dividing homonymy into: intrasociolectal and intersociolectal homonymy, intradiscourse and interdiscourse homonymy as well as intralanguage and interlanguage homonymy. Idiostylistic homonymy is an extraordinary type of homonymy and it is not divided in this way. |
