| Summary: | This research, carried out by the descriptive method,web sites related to the information houses in Turkey and activity reports of the municipalities were examined, the literature has also been reviewed.Studies on information houses in Turkey are limited.No common definition of the information house was found.There is no collective data on which institutions are affiliated and how many houses are in Turkey.The activities of information houses are quite diverse, but the numbers are not enough.A total of 249 information houses were found in 23 different cities, serving 54 different institutions.Suggestions are presented in the light of the results obtained within the scope of the research. |
