description In the preseni study was undertaken to determine the arterial vascularisalion oi the neck ot Turkish shepherd dog. Fourteen adull dogs of either sex were used as a material. The vascular tree of the neck was injected through the common carotid arteries with coloured latex. The main source of blood supply to the neck ot the dog was from the vertebral, costocervical, cervical superficial and common carotid arteries, but the cranial laryngeal and occipital arteries were a potantial source ot blood to the neck via anastomoses o ccipito-vertebral and cranial laryngeal-cranial thyroid. The sternocleidomastoideus branch ot the caudal auricular artery contributed to the arteriel vascularisation of the neck. In addition, a small branch arising Irom the brachiocephalic artery was determined in three dogs.
