Description
Summary:This article presents the origin, components, and functions of a parameter grid designed to support, from design to regulation, of mentoring schemes by professors in higher education. It qualifies this type of conceptual and praxeological tool and exemplifies its usage through the analysis of three schemes implemented as part of a mentoring program tested on over a thousand students from 9 French-speaking Belgian institutions. The contributions of the article will interest researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working on the transition from secondary to higher education, whose mentoring is a still infrequent blend in French-speaking Europe.
