Effect of microbial agents on salt tolerance of wheat seedings

To investigate the impact of microbial agents on salt tolerance in wheat seedlings, this study established varying concentrations of salt (NaCl at 50 mmol/L and 100 mmol/L), applied microbial agents, and assessed several indicators of resistance traits (soluble protein, malondialdehyde, and chloroph...

description To investigate the impact of microbial agents on salt tolerance in wheat seedlings, this study established varying concentrations of salt (NaCl at 50 mmol/L and 100 mmol/L), applied microbial agents, and assessed several indicators of resistance traits (soluble protein, malondialdehyde, and chlorophyll in leaves) in wheat seedlings as well as soil salt content. The results demonstrated that microbial agents enhanced the accumulation of the soluble protein content while reducing malondialdehyde content in wheat seedlings; it also improved sodium ion transport capacity and mitigated soil salt content. Additionally, it was observed that the enhancement of salt tolerance in wheat seedlings by microbial agents is more pronounced under prolonged salt stress compared to short-term exposure.
