Summary:Abstract Aiming to develop economical and practical milling machine, and reduce the production cost of spiral bevel gear, the processing method based on four axis milling machine is proposed. Firstly, the machine model of four axis milling machine is established, and the processing motion is analyzed. Secondly, the motion mathematical model of four axis milling machine and basic generating mathematical model are established. By means of motion equivalent from NC machine to mechanical machine, the motion axis coordinate of four axis milling machine is calculated. Finally, the machining process of four axis milling machine is simulated based on VERICUT, and the cutting experiment is executed. The results verify that the machine model and motion position solution is correct and effective.
