Nasal Reconstruction with Autogenous Costochondral Graft in Binder’s Syndrome: A Case Report on Secondary Augmentation Rhinoplasty

Binder’s syndrome, characterized by maxillonasal dysplasia, presents unique challenges in nasal reconstruction due to the complex skeletal deformities involved. This case report demonstrates the successful utilization of a costochondral graft for secondary augmentation rhinoplasty in a 21-year-old f...

description Binder’s syndrome, characterized by maxillonasal dysplasia, presents unique challenges in nasal reconstruction due to the complex skeletal deformities involved. This case report demonstrates the successful utilization of a costochondral graft for secondary augmentation rhinoplasty in a 21-year-old female patient with Binder’s syndrome-related nasal deformities. The management of nasomaxillary hypoplasia is crucial due to the significant role of midline structures in facial esthetics, where even minor deviations can lead to drastic changes in appearance, impacting both esthetics and the patient’s psychological well-being. The surgical techniques, preoperative planning, and postoperative outcomes are discussed, emphasizing the importance of tailored interventions in complex craniofacial reconstruction cases.
