Summary:This study aims to evaluate the present states of the practices of electronic records management in Turkey. The evaluation of the institutional condition seems so im­portant to create effective and continuous systems and analysis of the existing ca­pacity in administrative bodies and records management applications is regarded as crucial. A survey method was used in this research; data were gathered through the questionnaire carried out in 57 different institutions with 247 participants. The questionnaire that has been realized in different units of the institutions ac­cording to the structure and functions, aims to determine what are the role and content of the electronic records management practices. One of the major findings of the study is the high expectation of the integration of different electronic infor­mation systems in the organizations.
