Summary:The article focuses on the construction of a process suitable for valuing a tourist destination in the context of local sustainable development. It highlights the harmful practices of visitors while proposing alternatives capable of promoting the image of the Taksebt dam in the Tizi-Ouzou region. This includes the resilience of the local actors in order to transform this territory into an attractive tourist destination. The question of the patrimonialization of this site, in connection with sustainable tourism development, raises the protective measures to be adopted in the framework of tourism projects. In conclusion, the elaboration of the territorial diagnosis of the case study based on our observations and our surveys with multiple actors, it envisages governance through intercommunity as a factor in the emergence of the new tourist destination.
