Two packages from each of 25 different brands were bought by random sampling and two 5 gramme samples from each package were used for determining total plate count, coliforms, faecal streptococcus, staphylococcus, lactobacillus, thermophileis and mold and yeast. Infusions prepared with boiling water in a 1 : 10 ratio (w/v) were also studied.<p>
Average counts, range and percent distribution of each group were tabulated and evaluated. |
