Summary:The article reveals the prerequisites for the formation of the criminalistic doctrine of special knowledge used in the investigation of crimes involving minors. The article analyses the concept of scientific theory, its structure and component composition; it also determines the place of the mentioned doctrine in the system of the general theory of criminalistics, which allows avoiding the formation of a multitude of disparate, fragmentary theoretical concepts. Purpose: to create a theoretical basis for developing the criminalistic doctrine of special knowledge used in the investigation of crimes involving minors, which will improve criminalistic theories in general. Methods: dialectical and methods of formal logic, general scientific and special methods. Results: the article is a fundamental theoretical study that allows systematising and integrating the knowledge of technical, pedagogical and legal sciences and successfully solving criminalistic problems that may arise during the investigation of crimes involving minors.
