Description
Summary:Aim. To study the condition of oxidant-antioxidant system in patients with comorbid course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic pancreatitis (CP) with oral administration of glutathione. Methods and results. 60 patients with COPD (GOLD1-2, В stage) were examined in the phase of non-infectious exacerbation with comorbid CP in the phase of exacerbation were divided into 2 groups. The main group (2, M) received therapy with hepaval (reduced glutathione per 250 mg twice a day) during 30 days. A tendency to increased activity of reduced glutathione in 1,2 and 1,6 times in the control and main groups was observed (р<0,05). Conclusion. Treatment with hepaval promotes intensity of LPO processes decrease and restoration of the main factor of the antioxidant protective system in the blood – reduced glutathione.
