Summary:In this study, 11 male, 7 temale Kangal do gs and 18 male, 10 temale German Wolfdogs, aged, 1-3 were used. The required blood for haematological analysis were taken from v. cephalica antebrachi or v. saphena parva.<p> In this investigation, the mean of red blood cell (RBC), white blood cell (WBC), blood platelet counts and me an of hemoglobin amaund (Hb) and hemataerit values (PVC) in ma/e Kangal dogs were fo und to be 5. 60x10<sup>6</sup>, 10.22x10<sup>3</sup>, 3.17x10<sup>5</sup>/mm<sup>3</sup>, 12.56 gldl and 42.64 % whereas the same values in female Kangal dogs were determined to be 5.76x10<sup>6</sup>, 9.66x10<sup>3</sup>, 3.06x10<sup>5</sup>/mm<sup>3</sup>, 15.43 gld/ and 52.43 %, respectively. On the other hand the same values w ere fo und to be 6. 09x10<sup>6</sup>, 9.47x10<sup>3</sup>, 3.13x10<sup>5</sup>/mm<sup>3</sup>, 15.32 gldl and 47.11% in ma/e German Wolfdogs and 5.17x10<sup>6</sup>, 8.85x10<sup>3</sup>, 2.87x10<sup>5</sup>/mm<sup>3</sup>, 14.00gld/ and 40.80 % in tema/e German Wolfdogs, respectively.<p> The Mean Corpuscu/ar Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin (MCH) and Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) in both dogs anchestory were determined higher in temale than male.<p> In this study, band neutrophiles, polymorphnuclear neutrophiles, lymphocytes, monocytes and eosinophiles were determined as 2.00, 66.56, 22.35, 4.36 and 4.73 % in male Kangal dogs, whereas the same values found to be 0.86, 65.43, 26.43, 3.43 and 3.86 % in female Kangal dogs, respectively. On the other hand, the same values were fo und to be 1.28, 70. 44, 19.28, 4.39 and 4.61 %in male German Wolfdogs, 0.70, 65.50, 24.20, 4.30 and 5.30 % in female German Wolfdogs, respectively.<p> The values of the erytrocyte sedimentation rat e (ESR) at 30 th min, 1 st, 2 nd and 24 th hours in Kangal dogs were determined higher than the German Wolfdogs.
