description The spatial characteristics of historical villages are multifaceted, encompassing natural, economic, historical, regional, and cultural elements. Effective development strategies for these villages should originate from a thorough understanding of their inherent characteristics. Currently, the construction and planning practices in historical villages often overlook the continuity and recognition of these essential attributes. This study employs a spatial genetics framework and leverages parametric methods coupled with quantitative analysis to investigate the fundamental developmental principles of villages and their applicable strategies. Using Gulan Village as a case study, this research delineates a development strategy for historical villages that leverages their unique characteristics and incorporates the application of advanced computational technologies. This strategy proposes a multidimensional research approach that aims to safeguard and rejuvenate historical villages, thereby contributing to sustainable rural development.
