Description
Summary:The Porpoise Books collection was begun in the immediate post-war period in Great Britain, with the aim of offering children beautiful fictional picture books at a modest price. Unfortunately, repeated technical problems and poor market judgement prevented the first four books from being released in the best possible conditions. After the whole project was cancelled, the quick, mysterious disappearance of a (large) stock of books that constituted the beginning of this collection became, and remains, a mystery.
