Summary:This study focuses on the sexual assault suffered by adolescent girls in Gabon. This article follows a news item reported by the Gabonese daily union on July 28, 2022 pronouncing the criminal’s sentence following the rape of an 18-year-old teenager at the time of the crime. In a clinical approach, a study was conducted on two cases in order to explore, analyze and discuss the psychic movements that enabled these two victims to cope with sexual assault and improve their self-esteem. Our gaze focused on the rape suffered which updates the problematic of puberty by breaking into the sexual. The results indicate that spirituality, cognitive restructuring, academic success, social and family support, are all factors that have enabled our cases to overcome adversity.
