| Summary: | Summary: Umbilical laxity is a common aesthetic concern in male and female patients, yet it lacks a standardized classification system for its evaluation and treatment. This article presents a new four-grade classification system of umbilical laxity to assist surgical planning of body contouring surgeries. This classification considers shape, hooding, supraumbilical laxity and periumbilical wrinkles aligning with previously established aesthetic principles. Each grade corresponds to specific treatment recommendations, ranging from umbilical redesign to full abdominoplasty, depending on the severity of laxity. This classification offers a practical guide for addressing this commonly neglected aspect of body contouring. |
