| Summary: | Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is an end-stage treatment options for patients with osteoarthritic disorders of the knee. The tourniquet, a commonly used method of hemostasis, has the advantage of effectively reducing intraoperative bleeding, optimizing cemented fixation, and providing a clear operative field. However, it is also accompanied by risks such as insufficient ischemia reperfusion and deep vein thrombosis. With the concept of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery(ERAS), the use of tourniquets in knee replacement has generated much discussion. In this study, a systematic analysis of the evidence-based use of TKA tourniquet, its potential complications, and its prevention and control strategies was carried out by literature review, aiming to provide a reference for the development of an individualized tourniquet management plan in accordance with the principles of ERAS.
