Description
Summary:The way events are presented in the media and then understood is inscribed in the history of our present time and conveys a narrative shaped by past events. First, the authors present current events as a selected and constructed reality, stressing the explanatory and revelatory nature of these “facilitating” constructions. Then, they demonstrate the “facilitating” phenomenon by exploring a corpus comprised of the current events reported on French television and in the national French press after the November 13, 2015 attacks in Paris.
