Description
Summary:Systemic embolism is a frequent complication of infective endocarditis (IE), but ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) due to septic coronary artery embolism is exceedingly rare and associated with high mortality. Herein, we illustrate the case of a 27-year-old male presenting with inferior wall STEMI secondary to IE. Despite established guidelines regarding the diagnosis and treatment of IE, this condition remains underdiagnosed, thus elevating the risk of fatal complications.
