Summary:This article questions the contribution of social networks to the experience of a YouTuber’s follower. In a semio-pragmatic and temporalist approach, we analyze the conditions in which time windows, concentrating views and comments, are set up. At the junction of social networks and social media, internet users invest their viewing experience as a communication space where they are in quasi-interaction with the YouTuber and its internet community. As the vlog nurture a feeling of authenticity and the lack of distinction between fiction and non-fiction, it appears as a boundary-object. The vlog as a boundary-object is both a distribution and viewing platform, a social network and a social media.
