description The performance of electric drive system for electric vehicle largely depends on the characteristics of DC-link capacitor in inverter, especially the abilities to absorb ripple current and ripple voltage of DC-link. Research on the ripple status of capacitor under different driving conditions is better for the optimal selection of capacitors and the reliability of driving system. Based on the SVPWM modulation mode and its latent modulation wave function, the calculation formulas of ripple current and ripple voltage of DC-link capacitor were deduced and analyzed under different operation conditions.
