Summary:This summary article offers a cross-reading of the various contributions of this thematic issue, which is based on comprehensive and critical analyses of educational systems in various contexts. The first part discusses the methodological difficulties in analysing educational systems, which we compare to particularly complex kinds of ecosystems. The second part looks at the critical perspectives proposed in this issue, in particular Foucaudian thinking on the political issues of power relations. The third axis emphasizes the transformations of activity and professionalism, which give us to see a different view on the power to act of the actors of the different mechanisms. Then, this text questions new avenues of analysis around the questions of mediations and adjustments.
