| description | Life satisfaction emerges as an important concept for building healthy societies and enabling individuals to lead peaceful lives. This study is a relational screening model aimed at examining the relationship between life satisfaction and individuals who have entered into love marriages, specifically those over the age of 18. The population of the study consists of individuals who are in love marriages. The sample group of the study was selected using a random sampling method to reflect the population. Considering potential data loss, a survey created via Google Forms was administered to 479 individuals. Out of these, 381 people who identified as being in love marriages were chosen as the sample group for the study. The participants were given a "Personal Information Form" and a "Life Satisfaction Scale" In analyzing the obtained data, normality distributions were first evaluated using Kolmogorov-Smirnov Tests and skewness-kurtosis scores (p>0.05). The differences in the total scores of the Life Satisfaction Scale according to variables such as gender, employment status, spouse's employment status, and psychological support were examined using the Student's t-test. Variations based on age, educational level, marriage priority, number of children, and income level were analyzed using ANOVA and Post-Hoc Tukey Tests. SPSS 22 was used for the entire analysis process. According to the results, significant differences were found in life satisfaction scale scores based on gender, psychological support, income level, education level, and the employment status of the spouse. However, no significant differences were observed in life satisfaction scores based on the number of children, age, and employment status. |
